List of 2014 Philippine Holidays

The Philippine Government, through Proclamation No. 655, series of 2013, has declared the following list of 2014 Philippine Holidays:


New Year’s Day January 1
Araw ng Kagitingan April 9
Maundy Thursday April 17
Good Friday April 18
Labor Day May 1
Independence Day June 12
National Heroes Day August 25
Bonifacio Day November 30
Christmas Day December 25
Rizal Day December 30
Chinese New Year January 31
Black Saturday April 19
Ninoy Aquino Day August 21
All Saints’ Day November 1
Additional special non-working day December 24
Additional special non-working day December 26
Last Day of the Year December 31
SPECIAL HOLIDAY (for all schools)
EDSA Revolution Anniversary February 25

Two Muslim holidays – Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha – will still be declared nonworking days, but the government has yet to determine the actual dates by which they will be observed.

Travel goers will have plenty of time to unwind this year as there are five long weekends to look forward to:

January 31 to February 2, 2014

April 17 to April 20, 2014

August 23 to 25, 2014

December 24 to 28, 2014
